Quiet weather for the next week-2nd half of month looks stormier

We’ve had a tame winter for the most part with snowfall amounts well below normal and temps averaging a touch above normal.  Being about 1/2 way through winter, what does the rest of February hold?  Well, the next 10 days looks relatively quiet in regards to snowfall.  Here’s a look at a few of our models predictions for snowfall accumulation through the end of next week:

The LRC is predicting a “stormier than normal” 2nd half to the month.  Here is a look at one models prediction post Valentine’s day weekend.

A very strong 978mb low riding out of the central plains.  IF this verifies, this would bring a major snow event somewhere in the N. Plains.   Stay tuned….
