You read that right RECORD SETTING SNOWFALL…..I had to double check but Tuesday’s snowfall through midnight was 3.8″ out at Hector, which is a record for the date. Most of the F/M area picked up between 4-5″ Here’s a look at some other snowfall totals around the area:
Fargo 4.3″
Moorhead: 4.4″
Cooperstown: 4-6″
Grand Forks: 7.4-11″ (banding of snow in north GF with 11″)
Thief River: 8.8″
Frazee: 5.5″
Thompson ND: 4.5″
Not a HUGE storm but definitely enough to cause some travel issues.
Another weak clipper system will bring us some light snow on Thursday (1″ or less) to most of the area. Afterwards, Arctic air pours in for the end of the week into the weekend :

Saturday morning lows around -10 to -20 below. BRRRRR!!!!
However, it doesn’t last long as a quick rebound back into the 30s for Mon/Tues:

We are watching the rest of the month as we are expected to see a few storms roll through before Christmas.
