(Crookston, MN) -- A 10-year-old girl is hospitalized after being hit by a semi in Crookston Monday night.
Police responded to the intersection of Broadway and Robert Street around 5:30 p.m. to find the little girl injured. They say she was on the sidewalk with her bike when a semi-trailer made a right hand turn, hitting her with the rear wheels. The girl was airlifted to a Fargo hospital.
The driver of the semi now being identified as 73-year-old Duane Schouveiller of Mahnomen. The Minnesota State Patrol says they believe alcohol was not a factor. The incident remains under investigation.
