Fargo home seriously damaged by early morning fire

(Fargo, ND) -- A firefighter is injured following a blaze in an Osgood home.

The Fargo Fire Department says the learned of the fire at approximately 7 a.m. Thursday morning at 4172 58th Street South in Fargo. Authorities say the fire began with a cardboard box fire near a firepit behind the home which leaped to the home, ending with serious damage to the first and second floor of the building. All fires were put out approximately an hour later.

During the blaze, a firefighter needed to be transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. An investigation is ongoing at this time.
