GOP House lawmaker unveils resolution to censure Congresswoman Omar

(Washington, D.C.)  --  A Republican House member is taking action to censure Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.

Nebraska Congressman Don Bacon released a resolution yesterday following remarks made by the lawmaker about Jewish students last month during a visit to Columbia University in New York.

Omar told a reporter that all Jewish kid should be kept safe.

She added that antisemitism and bigotry should not be tolerated whether students are pro-genocide or anti-genocide.

Bacon's resolution focuses on the congresswoman's hateful comments and history of antisemitism.

Omar's spokesperson says Omar clearly condemned antisemitism and bigotry for all Jewish students.
