(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Twins are adding a former Cy Young award winner to their starting rotation.
The team selected the contract of Dallas Keuchel yesterday. Keuchel was planning on opting out of his minor league deal with the team earlier this week before he got the call back to the big leagues. The 35-year-old was 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA in six starts with Triple-A St. Paul this season.
He will replace Joe Ryan in the rotation after Ryan was placed on the 15-day injured list with a groin injury yesterday.
