Vikings place Hicks on IR

(Eagan, MN) -- The Vikings are placing another starter on injured reserve.

The team put linebacker Jordan Hicks on the IR yesterday.  Hicks injured his shin in Sunday's win over New Orleans, and he had to have an urgent surgery to prevent compartment syndrome. Hicks has 87 tackles, an interception, and one sack in ten games this season. The team officially signed Anthony Barr to the practice squad yesterday.

Minnesota visits Denver this Sunday.
