(Eagan, MN) -- The Vikings have finalized their release of running back Alexander Mattison.
Reports emerged last week about Minnesota's plans to cut the 2023 starter. Mattison took over for Dalvin Cook as the No. 1 back in Minnesota, but he was replaced by Ty Chandler towards the end of the season after rushing for just 700 yards and scoring just three receiving touchdowns.
