SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A majestic run to the Summit League championship ended in heartbreak as the NDSU Bison fell 64-51 to South Dakota State on Sunday in Sioux Falls.
The Bison went without scoring over the final 1:37 of the ballgame and turned the ball over nine times in the game, including five times in the final minutes of the contest. NDSU held SDSU to eight turnovers.
Avery Koenen and Molly Lenz paced the Bison with 12 points each. Karrington Asp added 10 points.
Koenen registered a double-double adding in 13 rebounds.
