The Minnesota Timberwolves edged the San Antonio Spurs 104-102 in Game 1 of their Western Conference Semifinals series.
Anthony Edwards returned to the court off the bench, dropping 18 points, three rebounds, and three assists in 25 minutes of action. Julius Randle led Minnesota with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Jaden McDaniels and Mike Conley added 16 points apiece. Terrance Shannon Jr. scored 12 points with five rebounds while Naz Reid chipped in 12 points and nine rebounds off the bench. Rudy Gobert tallied seven points, 10 rebounds, four steals, and three assists.

Victor Wembanyama recorded a triple-double for the Spurs with 11 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 blocks.
Minnesota struggled from the free throw line only connecting on 12-of-21 attempts (57 percent). They shot 10-of-26 from three-point range (38 percent) and made 41-of-90 shots total from the field (46 percent).
The Pack now lead the best-of-seven series 1-0. Game 2 will be on Wednesday night in San Antonio with the tip-off at 8:30 p.m. and full game coverage available on ESPN.
