GRAND FORKS, N.D. — The Grand Forks Air Force Base is now one of four sites for a new pilot program testing advanced Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
Senator Kevin Cramer says today’s announcement is a long time coming. He’s been working with General Kenneth Wilsbach to make the dream a reality.
“It was General Wilsbach that I worked with, even before he was Chief of Staff, while he was ACC Commander, on making Grand Forks an Air Force Center of Excellence for UAS,” Cramer said.
The program is made possible by the National Defense Authorization Act.
