Free throws cost Lynx in loss to Sky

Slow second and third quarters cost the Minnesota Lynx in an 86-79 loss to the Chicago Sky on Sunday night. The Lynx were outscored 47-32 between the second and third quarters. Additionally, Chicago made 20-25 free throw attempts while Minnesota only went 8-12 from the charity stripe.

Kayla McBride paced the Lynx with 20 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Courtney Williams added 17 points and five rebounds while Natasha Howard scored 17 points with nine rebounds and seven assists. Olivia Miles tallied 13 points, six rebounds, and four steals.

Minnesota dropped to a record of 2-2 on the young season.

The Lynx will now host the Toronto Tempo on Thursday evening beginning at 7 p.m. with full game coverage available on Victory+ Sports Network.
