FARGO, N.D. – Seven new officers are set to be sworn in, and one current officer promoted, at the Fargo Police Department next week.
The event will be Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. in the Fargo City Commission Chambers.
In addition to the seven new recruits being sworn in from Fargo’s latest Fargo Police Academy, Chief Travis Stefonowicz will be officially sworn in as the 39th Chief of Police. He’s been serving as chief since being appointed earlier this month, and was appointed interim chief after the retirement of former Chief David Zibolski earlier this year.
After Monday’s swearing in, the new officers will participate in the 16-week police officer training program.
