(Fargo, ND) — Senator Kevin Cramer continues to rail against a rule proposed by the EPA, requiring coal-fired power plants to reduce carbon emissions by 90 percent.
“What they really want them to do is be forced to close down and only have wind power and solar power, or bicycles or something. It’s so unrealistic that the only goal would be shut down all of our fossil fuels,” said Cramer.
Cramer said it’s never been demonstrated that coal-fired power plants can reduce carbon emissions by 90 percent.
The senator says the EPA has come out with 95 new rules in the past year, with many targeting the energy industry.
