NDSU awarded grant from National Science Foundation

 

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced National Science Foundation awarded a $171,528 grant to a North Dakota State University research project.

This project, entitled "Collaborative Research: Beyond Procedures: A Research-Based Approach to Teaching Mathematical Methods in Physics," is under the direction of Warren Christensen. It is investigating the development of students' mathematical understanding in the context of learning and understanding middle- and upper-division physics.

The National Science Foundation supports research, innovation, and discovery to advance frontiers of science and engineering by developing knowledge and cutting edge technologies to address current and future challenges.
