8:30 AM UPDATE: Multiple fire departments on scene of fire in Hankinson

 

8:30 AM UPDATE: Fire crews remained on scene overnight at a fire at Posts Hardware in Hankinson. Hankinson's fire chief says all individuals made it out of the building, and there were no injuries.

12 AM UPDATE: Nearly three hours after the original call came into Richland County authorities, firefighters from 10 different departments are still on scene at this hour of a fire at Posts Hardware, on Main Avenue in Hankinson. Above the hardware store are at least eight apartments, according to a bystander. It is unknown at this time how many people will be displaced, the cause of the fire and if there were any injuries. It is also not known how much damage occurred due to the blaze.

ORIGINAL STORY: Crews from 10 different fire departments across Richland County are on the scene of a fire at 307 1/2 Main Avenue in Hankinson at this hour.

According to Valley News Live, crews got the call at 9 p.m. for reports of a fire at a business in Hankinson, Posts Hardware. Atop Posts Hardware are apartments.

Damage is unknown at this time.
