'Shelter-In-Place' lifted in Casselton

 

4 PM UPDATE: Cass County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Tim Briggeman tells WZFG News that the department responded to a mental health call for service this afternoon in Casselton.

He says there are no further details available at this time, and there is no cause for concern for the general public.

3:55 PM UPDATE: The Cass County Sheriff's Office has lifted the shelter in place order, and the scene has been cleared.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Cass County Sheriff's Office is warning Casselton residents that the department has a perimeter set up from Langer Avenue South to 9th Avenue South and 1st Street South to 7th Street South.

The Sheriff's Office says residents who live in the area should shelter in place, and others are asked to stay away from the area.

A Code Red alert has been issued for the area.

WZFG News has reached out to Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner, but have yet to gain more information on this story.
