November 4 through 10 is Drone Safety Awareness Week, as recognized by the FAA, and the Northern Plains UAS Test Site in Grand Forks will be celebrating.
On November 9, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., an open house will take place at the headquarters of the Northern Plains UAS Test Site, located at the Tech Accelerator on the campus of the University of North Dakota, located at 4201 James Ray Drive in Grand Forks.
In addition, drone experts will be on hand to provide one-on-one guidance and advice to local operators and enthusiasts. Those attending are encouraged to bring their own drone for guided flight, help with registration, LAANC and more.
The event is open to interested community members.
