Fargo South High to host Bruin Spiritacular Day

South High School students, faculty and staff will spend the day Friday celebrating each other’s accomplishments, sharing school spirit, and learning how to build a legacy for others.

Students will begin their day with a waffles, eggs, sausages, bananas, and juice breakfast and activities from 7:40 to 8:20 a.m. in the Commons. During this time, students will also be invited to participate in activities such as Minute to Win It Games, Positive Message Center, and a photo booth.

An all-school assembly will be held from 9:20 to 10:50 a.m. in the gymnasium. The assembly will include a  Parade of Banners representing activities at South, AFJROTC color presentation, Belle Orso Voci (BOV) Performing The National Anthem, Jazz Band performance, and cheerleaders leading cheers. Students will hear from keynote speakers Fargo Police Department Community Trust Officer Michael Bloom, and inspirational speakers and musicians DPB and V-Rose. Their message will focus on identity, mental health awareness, and student leadership.

PTA members will hand out Bruin Pride t-shirts to students as they enter the school for the day. South High has been holding Spiritacular Day since the 1980s. It is typically a biannual event provided through financial support from the Bruin Booster Club.
