Lane closures on Highway 59 in Pelican Rapids begin Thursday for utility repairs

Starting Thursday, Nov. 21, motorists will encounter lane closures and lane shifts on Highway 59 in Pelican Rapids, as crews complete repairs to the storm line. The work will take place on Highway 59 between the two junctions of Highway 108, from East Mill to First Avenue NW, and is expected to take approximately seven days to complete, weather permitting.

Traffic will be carried through the work zone using the northbound lanes, so parking will not be permitted in this area starting Wednesday evening. After the work is complete, the no parking signs will be removed.

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution and reminds them to slow down in the work zone and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
