FEMA approves grant for Washburn intank improvements project

 

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved a grant totaling $1,026,025 for the state of North Dakota.

This grant will fund a Washburn Intank Improvements project. The scope of the work includes replacing the existing raw water intake and pump house, which is unable to pump and provide water to the city water treatment plant and its customers during low flow events. This award is in accordance with the Stafford Act and is approved through FEMA’s Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program.
