Closings, delays at North Dakota Human Service Centers

 

North Dakota Department of Human Services offices in Grand Forks, Jamestown and Valley City will be closed today, Monday, Dec. 30, due to hazardous weather and road conditions. The weather-related office closure affects Northeast Human Service Center and South Central Human Service Center and their outreach offices in Grafton and Valley City, as well as other department offices in Grand Forks and Jamestown. In addition, department offices in Fargo, will delay opening.  Details appear below.

IMPORTANT: The department’s regional human service centers operate 24-hour behavioral health crisis lines. Contact information is listed below. 

Office closure decisions are made for the safety of clients and align with closures of other community clinics and government organizations.

AFFECTED OFFICES:

Grand Forks offices closed: Northeast Human Service Center in Grand Forks and its Grafton outreach office and the department’s Child Support and Vocational Rehabilitation offices will be closed on Monday. Clients can reach Northeast's behavioral health crisis line at 701-775-0525 or 800-845-3731.

Jamestown/Valley City offices closed: South Central Human Service Center, its satellite office in Valley City, and the department’s Child Support and Vocational Rehabilitation offices in Jamestown will be closed today.  South Central’s behavioral health crisis line can be reached at 701-253-6304.

Fargo offices delay opening:  Southeast Human Service Center and the regional Child Support office in Fargo will open at noon. Southeast’s behavioral health crisis line can be reached at 701-298-4500 or 888-342-4900. People can also contact First Link at 2-1-1 Helpline.

The department anticipates resuming normal business hours tomorrow.
