“The American Stroke Association’s Get with the Guidelines award is only given to hospitals that provide high quality stroke care,” says Megan Carlblom, manager of the Stroke Program at Essentia Health-Fargo. “We have earned the Gold Plus award for the third year in a row. Our highest priority is the people we serve and we are proud to receive this award as a sign of our dedication to quality stroke care.”

The criteria hospitals must meet to receive the awards are designed to speed recovery and reduce death and disability for stroke patients. Award recipients will be recognized during the AHA/ASA International Stroke Conference February 6-8, 2019, in Honolulu.
