An 18-year-old Moorhead man is in jail this afternoon following a pursuit and vehicle crash expanding across two states.
Abdifatah Jama was arrested for misdemeanor DUI, felony reckless endangerment and felony fleeing law enforcement. A North Dakota Highway Patrol troper observed Abdifatah eastbound on I-94 traveling 83 in a 55. The trooper attempted a traffic stop, in which the driver fled eastbound, reaching speeds of 95 milees per hour. He struck a motorist while fleeing in North Dakota.
When in Minnesota, he struck another vehicle, causing five vehicles to wreck in a chain-reaction crash.
