Sanford Fargo Medical Center recently received a Level 1 Adult Trauma Center designation from the American College of Surgeons.
Sanford Fargo Medical Center President Nate White tells WZFG News that it’s exciting news for the medical center to receive this.
“It takes a lot of people to make this happen,” White says.
This achievement makes Fargo the only city with a Level 1 Adult Trauma Center between Minneapolis, Seattle, Denver and Omaha.
In 2017, the trauma center admitted more than 1,500 patients that met the established criteria. Historically, it has been the region’s busiest emergency center.
