City of Moorhead cancels events amid COVID-19 concerns

 

The City of Moorhead, amid concerns of COVID-19, is making changes to events in the city.

According to a press release, the Minnesota Department of Health recommends canceling or postponing events with gatherings of 250 or more. Moorhead, therefore, is making the following changes to events in the city:

  • Celtic Festival: The Celtic Festival, scheduled for March 21 at the Hjemkomst Center, sponsored by Moorhead Parks and Recreation and the Fargo Park District, has been canceled. The Hjemkomst Center does remain open to visitors during regular business hours.
  • Moorhead Ice Show: The Moorhead Ice Show, scheduled for March 27-29 at the Moorhead Sports Center, is postponed. A decision on rescheduling, according to the city, will be made at a future date.

At this time, there are service impacts to the City of Moorhead.
