COVID-19 positive case reported at University of North Dakota

The University of North Dakota has received notification of a positive case of COVID-19 within a member of its university community.

According to a statement from the University of North Dakota, the individual is currently receiving care and has not been on the campus since March 30.

“The university is assisting public health officials in following up with any others that the individual may have recently come into contact with,” a statement from UND read. “Anyone who has been identified as a close contact will be notified by the North Dakota Department of Health and provided with additional information.”

The university says no classes were being held at the time of the notification, and the “vast majority of the campus community is working and learning remotely.”
