UPDATE: Active law enforcement situation in Casselton

UPDATE: At approximately 9:35 p.m., the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported gunshot incident in Casselton. The individual who was shot was transported to a Fargo area hospital; unknown medical condition at this time.  A second individual involved in this incident is currently being questioned by law enforcement. The Sheriff’s Office believes this to be an isolated incident with no further concern for the safety of the citizens of Casselton.  No further information is being released at this time, this remains an on-going investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY: Valley News Live says there is an active police presence in the city of Casselton.

Dispatchers from the Red River Regional Dispatch Center tell WZFG News that there was a report of an assault in the 50 block of 3rd Avenue North in Casselton.
