Lake Agassiz Habitat to host 17th Annual Tour de Habitat

Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity will be holding its 17th annual Tour de Habitat June 21-27th. The Tour de Habitat brings teams from businesses, families, friend groups, networking groups and local colleges to help raise money to help build simple, decent and affordable housing in Cass and Clay counties.

While the Tour has typically been a stationary bike race, the COVID situation has given us the opportunity to take the tour to the streets. This year, the Tour de Habitat will be virtual, as we ask participants to participate from their neighborhoods.

During the Tour de Habitat – At Home Edition, each team/participant is challenged to raise funds for the organization and awareness for the need of safe, affordable housing in our community. Because a home is more than walls and a roof, we are asking participants to share their lives with us and will have theme days that fit. Instead of a stationary bike, participants have the option to run, walk or bike.

Tour de Habitat is open to everyone who wishes to create a team and participate in the event or those who simply want to donate to our vision of eradicating poverty housing in Cass and Clay counties. The funds raised this year, will help 2 single moms build homes and rebuild their lives.
