Cass County Sheriff's Deputy resigns

Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner says a deputy within his department has resigned.

Deputy Tamera "Tori" Holland resigned from her position as a correctional deputy, after serving two years with the department.

"Holland’s resignation was a personal decision and not a result of any further disciplinary action implemented by the sheriff’s office," Jahner said in a statement.

She had been the center of an investigation into an insensitive social media post by a non-licensed correctional deputy that had drawn the attention of Native Lives Matter and others who viewed it.
