City of Grand Forks schedules annual Clean-up Week

The City of Grand Forks will have their annual Clean-Up Week September 14 – September 18.

Residents are asked to place their items (household quantity) where they normally place garbage by 7 a.m. of their normal collection day.

The landfill will also have extended hours during Clean-Up week.  The extended hours are, Monday, Sept. 14th – Friday Sept. 18th from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. and on Saturday Sept. 19th from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. Grand Forks residents can bring household quantities there for free during those hours.  Simply show proof of residence, like a utility bill.

In this time of COVID, the City asks everyone, please be considerate and help everyone stay healthy and safe by limiting quantities, avoid combing through others’ items, and allow crews room to work.

An example of reasonable household quantities might be a few bags/boxes of misc. items, a few pieces of furniture, an appliance or two, a few brush/branch clippings, four car tires, etc. Clean Up Week is not intended for large construction projects, tree removal, or hazardous materials.
