Man Killed in Crash Near Killdeer

 

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 37-year-old Louisiana man was killed in a Dunn County crash Thursday afternoon.

According to the Patrol, the accident, which occurred at noon, happened five miles south of Killdeer.

A 2015 Ford F-150 was northbound on Highway 22. The second vehicle, a 2012 Dodge 5500 pickup, was following a D-O-T snow plow actively working on the road.

The snow being removed from the roadway was thrown into the air reducing visibility.  Both vehicles entered the snow fog and struck near the centerline of the roadway.  The occupants of the Dodge were not injured in the crash.  The driver of the Ford was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The names will be released upon notification of the next of kin. 

This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
