Multiple agencies are on the scene of an active fire at the White-Owl saltwater disposal site in Watford City.
According to the Watford City Police Department, the Police Department, Fire Department, McKenzie County Sheriff’s Department and other agencies responded to the fire, shortly after noon Thursday.
26F Street Northwest between Highway 23 and Buffalo Hills is closed to all traffic due to the fire.
As of 1:35 p.m. Thursday, the Watford City Fire Department has taken command of the incident and says the fire will be going for a couple more hours. The public is asked to avoid the area during the incident.
A McKenzie County Dispatcher tells WZFG News that no further information will be released on the fire until the fire is put out.
