Fargo Man Apprehended Following Chase

 

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, with the assistance of the Traill County Sheriff’s Office, has captured a Fargo man who led authorities on a chase late Friday night.

According to the Highway Patrol, a State Trooper encountered a motorist on I-29, traveling northbound at more than 100 miles per hour in the 75 mile per hour zone. The Trooper encountered the motorist approximately five miles south of Hillsboro.

The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle for the speeding violation, but the driver fled.

The trooper, who had assistance from Traill County deputies, continued the pursuit for approximately 10 miles on I-29.

The sheriff’s office used ‘tire deflation spikes’ successfully. The suspect, 22-year-old Lucas Kulberg, Fargo, was apprehended without incident.

Kulberg was transported to the Traill County Jail and faces criminal charges of fleeing law enforcement in a motor vehicle and driving under suspension.
