Burgum Suspends Belcourt School Board Members

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has taken executive action to suspend a pair of school board members in the Belcourt School District, following credible reports of threats and demands made by the individuals in the midst of an audit.

The audit was requested by citizens, a news release from Burgum’s office said.

Jeremy Laducer and Doug Delorme were suspended from the board, pending the outcome of the audit.

In Burgum’s letters, dated April 25, he stated the Board of Education of the Belcourt School District has five days, from receipt of the notices, to convene and appoint a replacement both Laducer and Delorme.
