Storms Pack a Punch—Again

 

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks says a strong thunderstorm rolled through northeast North Dakota just after 5:30 a.m. today.

According to reports from residents in Grand Forks, strong winds did some damage around the city. One resident says a screen door to her patio was bent in half on one side, while another resident says the storm knocked over things in her yard. The National Weather Service received reports of street lights bent to the ground, along with trees down throughout the community. Hail in excess of one inch in diameter was reported in northwest Minnesota. A wind gust of 62 miles per hour was recorded along Highway 2 in Minnesota.
