Knife Threat Reported at Carl Ben Eielson

Fargo Police have investigated a knife threat through social media at a Fargo middle school.

A statement from the Fargo Public Schools says that Carl Ben Eielson was notified on Tuesday evening of a potential threat of a student bringing a knife to school on Wednesday. The threat was sent through the social media platform Snapchat, in a conversation amongst students.

Fargo Police officers were made aware of the threat and investigated it, working with each family individually.

Administration and Fargo Police met with the student prior to entering the school and did not find a knife.

The administration is working with the student and family on disciplinary action, and a report for disorderly conduct has been completed by Fargo Police.
