Pembina County Man Charged Following May Incident

 

A Pembina County man has been charged following a May 14 incident in the City of Walhalla.

According to court documents, Adam Manuel Dearinger faces one count of Class B Felony Burglary, one Class C Felony count of Aggravated Assault-Domestic Violence, A Class C Felony count of Terrorizing-Domestic Violence and a Class A Misdemeanor count of Disobedience of a Judicial Order.

Court documents say that, on May 14 of this year, Adam Manuel Dearinger entered a women’s home, listed as Jane Doe in court documents, while she was asleep, without her permission and assaulted Jane Doe and left the residence, which is the burglary charge.

Also, on the same date, in the same incident, Dearinger caused physical pain and series bodily injury to the woman when he choked her, restricted her airflow and caused visible injuries to her neck, resulting the aggravated assault-domestic violence charge.

In addition, in the same incident, Dearinger intended to cause the woman to fear for her safety and she believe he was going to kill her when he choked her, and he remarked that he was going to kill her, resulting in the terrorizing-domestic violence charge.

Stemming from a different case, Dearinger was to have no contact with the victim. Through the case on May 14, Dearinger allegedly willfully disobeyed a judicial order, when he entered the residence and made contact with the victim.

With all four counts, Dearinger could face up to 21 years in prison, 43 thousand dollars in fines or both.

Dearinger’s bond, with conditions, is set at $50,000 cash only.
