Trump Issues Disaster Declaration

 

The White House announced, on Wednesday, that President Donald Trump declared that a major disaster exists in the State of North Dakota, ordering Federal assistance to supplement state and local recovery efforts following flooding from March 21 to April 28.

Federal funding is available to State and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the flooding in the counties of Adams, Barnes, Cass, Dickey, Emmons, Grand Forks, Grant, Hettinger, LaMoure, Logan, McKenzie, Morton, Pembina, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Steele, Traill, and Walsh.

Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide.
