Large Cat Sighting Reported in West Fargo

The West Fargo Police Department responded to the area of 2600 Rivers Bend on Friday, shortly after noon, for a report of a possible large cat and cub sighting.

Officers checked the area along the river until 1 p.m., and were unable to locate or see any animals matching the description given.

If residents observe an animal with its cub, do not approach or harass the animal, but call 9-1-1 immediately. Any attempt to approach or harass the animal may provoke a dangerous situation.

The West Fargo P-D has been in contact with North Dakota Game and Fish, and no other sightings have been reported in the area.
