A Grand Forks native, who served as a youth minister at Fargo’s Faith + Journey Lutheran Church, has died. 29-year old Rachel Coen-Tuff died last Saturday of a sudden pulmonary embolism, and her funeral is Friday at United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, where her parents, Pastors Karla and Peter Coen-Tuff, are pastors. Coen-Tuff is best known for her work in the Lutheran ministry and her work with the youth. Pastor Rachael Puttbrese, who is pastor of the Central Valley Parish in Buxton, Reynolds and Cummings, says Coen-Tuff was a bright light, and was kind, caring and loving. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. According to information on Faith+Journey’s Facebook page, the church is planning for a memorial for the church in August, and a dedication of a memorial in her honor will be held.
