(Moorhead, MN) -- Moorhead Public Service (MPS) announced on Nov. 18th, 2021 that residents of both Moorhead and Dilworth are no longer under mandatory water use restrictions.

MPS says residents can still follow voluntary watering restrictions, but no mandate on water use is in place.

The change comes from The Red River Watershed's (RRW) change back to the Drought Watch Phase, showing significant recovery from the summer drought conditions. MPS does say that the RRW is still abnormally dry and continued water conservation efforts are still needed.

MPS says they will continue to provide information regarding the water shortages, but say that both Moorhead and Dilworth have enough water to meet the demands of its residents.
