(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo schools are responding after another threat was made in the area.
Davies High School has released another letter to students and parents after a threat was made on social media, drawing concern. This on the heels of several threats made in the West Fargo School District that resulted in three area juveniles being arrested.
Authorities have ruled this threat not credible, and continue to investigate it. You can see the full statement from the school below.
Full statement from Davies High School:
"This email is to provide an update to the information I sent you yesterday evening regarding an incident that was investigated by school staff and law enforcement.
Today, December 15th, students have been sharing concerns and information with school staff on images and information circulating on various social media sites. Administration and the Fargo Police Department have investigated the information and images shared. What is circulating on social media relates back to the incident investigated from Monday, December 13th. Additionally, an unrelated past image from social media has been shared in its original or altered form to insinuate a new threat of safety to Davies. Again this morning, based on the new concerns, school administrators collaboratively with the Fargo Police Department have thoroughly investigated the validity of the social media posts and comments. Based upon the investigation, the threats have been deemed not credible.
The student involved in the incident investigated is not in school. School administration is following school discipline policy accordingly. Per administrative policy 6320, students involved with verbal or written threats to school safety are suspended until investigations are complete and any other further action is determined.
We take student safety very seriously. As always, our goal is to ensure students can learn in a safe environment. Please speak to your student about what they post, share or reshare on social media. Resharing concerning images before bringing them to an adult disrupts school operations and the safe school environment and culture we are fostering at Davies High School. Students who participate in this may face disciplinary action.
We are thankful to the students who have brought forward the social media posts to school staff so they could be investigated. Please encourage your student to always contact an adult if they see or hear something concerning. If there is a concern during non-school hours, please contact the local police department. Together, we make Davies a great, safe place for students and staff each day.
At this time, Davies administration does not plan to communicate further about this incident."
Sincerely,
Troy Cody, Principal
Davies High School
