(Fargo, ND) -- A case of whooping cough has been discovered in Davies High School.

The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services says the disease was confirmed by the student, who is part of a theater group in the school. Whooping Cough, also known as pertussis, can produce symptoms like intense coughing - even to the point of vomiting.

The disease has a vaccine, and is treatable with certain antibiotics. You can learn more by clicking here.
