Juvenile girl hit by truck near Fosston, suffers minor injuries

(Fosston, MN) -- A juvenile girl is recovering after being hit by a car in Polk County Friday morning.

The Sheriff's office says the accident happened in Fosston near the intersection of 1st Street East and North Granum Avenue. Deputies say a pickup truck driven by 49-year-old Kerry Cran crossed the intersection and struck the girl around 8:30 a.m.

The child was transported by Essentia ambulance to Essentia Health in Fosston for minor injuries.

Deputies are reminding drivers  and pedestrians to use caution at and near intersections in the wake of this accident. To this point, no charges have been filed against Cran.
