Fargo parent first to announce run at school board

(Fargo, ND)-- Fargo resident and parent, Deven Styczynski is announcing his candidacy for the Fargo School Board in the upcoming June election.

Styczynski says after the last couple of years the board is in desperate need of a shake up. He noted incongruent quorum numbers, lack of house resolution 3049 implementation, and little regard for parent opinions as his main reasons for the run.

The election will be held Tuesday, June 14th. The Board positions up for election are currently held by Jennifer Benson, Rebecca Knutson, Brian Nelson, Robin Nelson and David Paulson. If elected, Styczynski will hold the seat for four years. His daughter currently attends Roosevelt Elementary school.
