(Moorhead, MN) -- A 'van' favorite in Moorhead is set to celebrate a key milestone in their success.

Vanna Adventure Vans is celebrating their one-year anniversary Friday down a road not many have traveled before.

"We convert high-roof Mercedes Sprinters, high-roof Ford Transits into custom camper vans that are four season and off grid," said co-founder Ben Gleason while talking with WDAY Radio's Bonnie and Friends Thursday morning. "We always say it's like a little tiny home on wheels."

The vans converted by Ben and his fellow co-founder and owner Jason Gilbraith have taken off very well in the year since the business began. "Some of the standard features we can put in include sound-dampening material, insolation, custom floors, wall and ceiling finishes, a heater connected to the engine power, beds, kitchenettes and fridges among other things," said Gleason. He adds too that many people however have several other items and ideas for things they want inside.

In honor of the businesses success and anniversary, there will be a special Open House Friday from 5-10pm at their location in Moorhead at 1710 26th St S. All are welcomed to attend the event, which will include live music, live art, appetizers and drinks.
