Police investigating assault at Grand Forks Middle School

(Grand Forks, ND) -- Police are investigating a report of an assault at a Grand Forks middle school.

Authorities were called to Valley Middle School Monday morning after an altercation between two students. One student was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The school was put on lockdown for less than ten minutes as the situation was dealt with.

Grand Forks Public School officials say the fight was over a disagreement that happened over the weekend. No charges have been forwarded so far.
