(Fargo, ND) -- A Fargo man guilty of receiving and sending child porn via a social media site has received his sentence.

U.S. District Court Judge Peter Welte officially sentenced Jeffrey Buckmeier to 27 years in federal prison for the charges of Receipt and Distribution of Materials Containing Child Pornography and Possession of Materials Containing Child Pornography. Chief Judge Welte also sentenced Buckmeier to a lifetime period of supervised release and ordered him to pay $84,000 in restitution to the child victims depicted in his 'collection'.

The 42-year-old was said to have uploaded 27 files in question in January of 2021 to a KIK account. He was caught in August after a search warrant found over 11,000 images and 900 videos of child porn in his possession, including children as young as three months old.
