New Pastor is first Transgender person to lead Fargo Church

(Fargo, ND) -- St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Fargo is continuing its tradition of meeting controversial issues head-on.

Church officials installed their new pastor on Sunday after a unanimous vote of approval by the congregation last month.

Pastor Micah Louwagie is the first openly transgender pastor of a North Dakota Evangelical Lutheran Parish.

St. Mark's has about 100 members.
